Seventh Generation Farmers
Welcome to Miller's Orchards Farm Market, a 7th generation family farm nestled between Northeast PA's Endless Mountains and the Poconos.
We make it our goal to nurture our slice of the local eco-system with careful attention to soil rejuvenation and multi-species diversification. We are committed to providing our local community with nutrient-dense and sustainably-grown fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, and homemade foods.
You won't just find us in the orchards and pastures, however, but also in our farm kitchen and butcher shop where we transform the bounty of the fields into mouthwatering foods that you can purchase fresh or frozen in our farm market.
Pasture-Grazed Animals
Our pigs, chickens, and steers are raised outdoors in fresh air, with
plenty of grass and sunlight. This environment produces the healthiest,
happiest, highest quality animal. In addition, our pasture-grazed
animals are healthier for the consumer, having lower levels of saturated
fat and higher levels of vitamins and minerals. The difference is that
our animals are raised on fresh pasture which is utterly different than
the conventional confinement paradigm. We feed our pigs and chickens
non-GMO grains, and do not use antibiotics or wormers.Learn More
Fresh Produce
Nourishing the soil is one of our guiding principles at Miller's
Orchards. We believe that by focusing on increasing the health of our
soil, it will produce bountiful harvests of nutrient-dense crops. We strive to partner with like-mind farmers to ensure the produce we offer is local, natural and delicious.
Homemade Foods
When so many fresh, healthy foods are grown on our Farm it's hard not to create delicious, hearty concoctions in our Farm Kitchen! We offer homemade meals, baked goods, various canned goods, and fresh apple cider! Our homemade foods revolve around the bountiful harvest in our fields.
Preparing Pasture Grazed Meats
Cooking with pastured meats is a little different than cooking the
average corn-fattened animal. Our gloriously healthy animals actually
have muscles from all their outdoor carousing, so their meat needs extra
love and care to break down those muscle fibers. In the age of
microwaves and fast-food, we find it helpful to share a little advice to
ensure you are always satisfied with your fresh meats. Generally,
pasture-grazed meats taste better when they are cooked over longer
periods of time on lower heat settings. The marvelous things a crockpot
can do with grass-feed meats are astounding. So, one cooking method we recommend is to use
your crockpot on long and low. But, if you’d like to see some of our
